Course description

This three-day course in English will take place from 5-7th of November 2025 at the i3S, University of Porto, Portugal. It aims at providing researchers with the knowledge and tools to design and analyse their animal studies in a way that ensures results are reliable, robust and reproducible. By strengthening experimental design and statistical practice, the course helps prevent waste of animal lives and resources in unreproducible research, while obtaining more - and more reliable - information without need for more animals.  

Target audience

The course is aimed at researchers designing and/or conducting studies with laboratory, farm or companion animals. It is also strongly recommended for members of Animal Welfare Bodies and for representatives of Competent Authorities involved in the evaluation of animal research projects.
